Welcome to Doors Open Saskatoon

Join us for an afternoon of fun peeking behind doors that are not normally open to the public or would normally charge an entrance fee. Many locations have organized guided tours, displays and activities to enrich the visitor experience.

What?

Doors Open Saskatoon 2011 will showcase over 20 buildings in various clusters around Saskatoon: Downtown, Riversdale/Caswell, Nutana/Broadway, and a cluster of" Other" buildings that don't happen to fit within the geographic clusters previously mentioned. This event is FREE of charge and is a great way to see some of Saskatoon's most interesting buildings.

Why?

To help people understand and enjoy their architectural environment and encourage awareness of their built heritage. This event is an opportunity to raise awareness of the value of their built heritage.

When?

Sunday, June 5, 2011-noon to 5 pm

What’s new this year?

In addition to many returning favourites, Doors Open will feature many buildings not previously showcased. These include (but are not limited to): John Deere Building, Remai Arts Centre, Access Transit, City of Saskatoon "Bus Barns", AODBT, T. Eaton Lofts, SoCa Lofts, HMCS Unicorn, VIDO-Intervac, and Sherbrooke Community Centre.

Cost?

The public can enter any Doors Open Saskatoon building Free of charge . Volunteer hosts will greet the public and provide guidance and direction to visitors.
